12-Year-Old’s Crazy Chairlift Fall Caught on Video
SportsTerrifying Moment Caught on Camera
A 12-year-old girl’s ski trip turned into a nightmare when she fell from a chairlift at California’s Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort. The whole thing was caught on video, and it’s pretty wild.
The girl, who was visiting the resort, apparently didn’t have the safety bar down on the chairlift. She slipped out and found herself dangling in mid-air, clinging to the chair for dear life. Her feet were still strapped to her snowboard, which made the whole scene even more ridiculous.
Miraculous Escape
Resort staff rushed to the scene, throwing down padding and a safety net in an attempt to catch her. Unfortunately, she missed the net by a hair and crashed to the ground. It’s a miracle she didn’t break anything – her mom says she walked away with no major injuries.
The mom, who commented on the video, says no one was at fault for the accident. She claims the chair slipped almost as soon as her daughter got on, leaving no time to secure the safety bar. She’s just grateful for the quick response from the resort staff, who helped her daughter escape with her life.
Despite the traumatic experience, the family says they won’t be deterred from skiing. In fact, they plan to hit the slopes again as soon as the girl is ready. It’s a brave move, considering what could’ve happened.
