FBI’s Desperate Hunt for Nancy Guthrie: Gun Store Owner Reveals Shocking Request
CrimeFBI’s Latest Move
An Arizona gun store owner claims an FBI agent asked him to cross-check recent firearm sales against a list of nearly two dozen people – all with pictures and names – in a bizarre bid to find missing woman Nancy Guthrie.
Phillip Martin, co-owner of Armor Bearer Arms in Tucson, told Fox News the agent showed up with three pages of names and photos, asking him to check if any of these individuals had bought a gun from his store in the past year.
A Surprising Request
Martin admitted he was taken aback by the request, but agreed to help out of sympathy for Guthrie’s family. He entered each last name into his store’s system, but none of the names matched any firearm purchases in the past year.
The FBI agent allegedly told Martin that investigators would be visiting other gun stores to see if anyone on the list had recently bought a weapon. It’s a move that raises more questions than answers – especially since Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos denies that authorities have narrowed down their suspect list.
A Case of Mixed Signals
Sheriff Nanos claims investigators are still following leads and examining evidence, but haven’t focused on a specific group of suspects. It’s a statement that contradicts the FBI’s actions – and leaves everyone wondering what’s really going on in the search for Nancy Guthrie.
