Rep. Fine’s Desperate Attempt to Save Face

Rep. Randy Fine is trying to distract from his own controversy with a ridiculous new bill. The Florida Republican is set to introduce the Protecting Puppies from Sharia Act, which blocks federal funds from states or local governments that support Sharia law. Yeah, because that’s a thing we need to worry about.

A Cheap Ploy to Shift Attention

Fine’s bill comes after he faced backlash for a social media post where he said he’d rather have dogs than Muslims. It’s a classic case of ‘look over here’ – try to pass a bill that sounds vaguely pro-puppy, and hope people forget about your idiotic comments. It won’t work, but hey, at least he’s trying.

The bill itself is brief and doesn’t do much, but it’s a great example of how politicians try to manipulate public opinion. It’s a sad attempt to shift the focus from Fine’s own bigotry, and it’s not fooling anyone.
