The Christian County deputy was gunned down just before 4 p.m. The Missouri State Highway Patrol has issued a Blue Alert, warning the public that the suspect may pose an ongoing threat.
The suspect’s truck has a distinctive silver brush guard, a rusted roof, and tinted rear windows. Authorities are urging anyone who sees the vehicle not to approach it and to call 911 immediately.
Senators Josh Hawley and Eric Schmitt have expressed their condolences to the deputy’s family, with Hawley calling for ‘swift justice’.
