Detroit’s Latest Brainchild

A brand-new coworking space is headed to Michigan Central Station in Detroit. Because, you know, the city didn’t have enough hip places to work already. The plan is to turn part of the historic station into a space where freelancers and startups can hang out and pretend to be productive.

What’s the Big Deal?

So, it’s not like Detroit’s lacking in coworking spaces or anything, but this one’s supposed to be a bit different. For starters, it’s in a ridiculously cool building. I mean, who wouldn’t want to work in a place that’s been standing since 1913? It’s got character, it’s got charm, and it’s got more than a few stories to tell.

But let’s get real – it’s not all fun and games. The project’s still in its early stages, and there are plenty of hurdles to jump before it’s up and running. Will it actually become the hub of creativity and innovation it’s supposed to be? Who knows? But hey, at least it’s something new to look forward to in the Motor City.
