Crockett’s Security Guard Killed in Crazy Dallas SWAT Standoff
CrimeSecurity Guard Turned Suspect
A security guard who worked for Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett is dead after a wild standoff with Dallas SWAT. The guard, who hasn’t been named, was wanted for impersonating a cop and barricaded himself in a vehicle at a children’s hospital.
How It Went Down
It all started when Dallas police tracked the suspect to the hospital’s garage around 11 p.m. He refused to come out, so they deployed tear gas. That’s when things escalated – the suspect emerged with a gun and pointed it at officers, who then opened fire.
Dallas Police Chief Daniel Comeaux said the suspect didn’t fire his gun, but he did threaten officers. Luckily, no one on the police side was hurt. The suspect, though, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Crockett’s Connection
It turns out the suspect had worked as a security guard for Crockett, even providing security for her campaign events. He also used fake names, like ‘Mike King’, and drove a replica undercover cop car with stolen license plates. Yeah, it’s a pretty ridiculous story.
Crockett’s office and the Dallas Police Department haven’t commented yet, but it’s safe to say this is a mess. And it’s not the first time Crockett’s been in the news for all the wrong reasons.
