Flip-Flopping on Iran

Donald Trump’s got a bad case of whiplash when it comes to Iran. His stance on the country changes faster than you can say ‘tweet storm’. It’s not like this is new behavior – the guy’s made a career out of staking out contradictory positions. But on Iran, his aides are trying to spin it as some kind of clever negotiating tactic.

The Problem with Mixed Signals

The thing is, it’s not just a matter of Trump being Trump. His shifting positions on Iran are colliding head-on with the very real consequences of war. It’s ridiculous to think that a country like Iran won’t call Trump’s bluff – and if they do, we’re in for a world of trouble. So, what’s the plan, Mr. President? Don’t bother asking his aides – they’re just as clueless as the rest of us.
