FBI Rescues Teen Girl from Alleged Kidnapper in Florida Hotel
CrimeTeen Girl Found Safe After Month-Long Search
A 16-year-old girl from Ohio has been rescued by the FBI from a hotel room in Florida, ending a month-long search for her alleged kidnapper. The accused, a Tennessee man named Negron, is facing pending charges.
Investigation and Arrest
Negron was tracked down to a hotel near Jacksonville, Florida, where the girl was found safe. The FBI worked with local police and the Hostage Rescue Team to apprehend Negron. It’s a major win for the agency, which has made protecting kids from violent criminals a top priority.
FBI Director Kash Patel praised the operation, saying it’s an example of the agency’s best work. ‘This case is the best of the FBI working with our great local partners: acting quickly, using elite technology capabilities, and deploying the best of the best tactical units,’ he said.
Negron’s Troubling Past
Negron has a history of run-ins with the law, including a 2024 incident where he allegedly transported a 17-year-old Texas girl for sexual activity. He’s also been involved in barricade incidents with local law enforcement and has made threatening statements toward officers.
The FBI is reviewing digital evidence, but so far, no child sexual abuse material has been found. Negron’s charges are pending, and he’s being held in transit back to Tennessee.
This is the second time in a week the FBI has taken down an alleged child sexual abuser. It’s a disturbing trend, but the agency is working hard to keep kids safe.
