Gas Prices Gone Wild
PoliticsPain at the Pump
Gas prices in Colorado have skyrocketed, and it’s all because of the Iran war. It’s not like we needed another reason to hate our commutes, but here we are.
Who’s Hurting Most
The impact of these surging prices isn’t felt equally, though. Some drivers are filling up twice, even three times a day, while others are barely scraping by. It’s a weird sort of math, where two drivers can pull into the same gas station and have wildly different experiences.
One guy fills up his giant SUV, maybe complaining about the price but still managing to pay. The other guy, not so much. He’s the one driving a beater, praying it makes it to the next paycheck without leaving him stranded.
It’s ridiculous, really. We’re talking about a war that’s supposedly thousands of miles away, yet it’s affecting our daily lives in very real ways.
And don’t even get me started on the politicians who claim they’re doing something about it. It’s all just a bunch of empty promises, if you ask me.
