Meet the New Yankees, Same as the Old Yankees

It’s deja vu all over again in the Bronx. The 2026 Yankees look an awful lot like the 2025 Yankees. Same faces, same expectations. The difference is, this year they’re supposed to actually deliver.

A Familiar Roster

Don’t expect any surprises when you scan the Yankees’ spring training roster. It’s the same cast of characters that’s been coming up short in October. They won’t be sneaking up on anyone this year, that’s for sure.

So, what’s changed? Not much, it seems. The same questions that plagued the team last year are still lingering. Can they stay healthy? Can they hit in the clutch? Can they pitch their way out of trouble? It’s been a while since the Yankees have looked like a team that can seriously contend, but they’re hoping this is the year they turn it around.
