Not Exactly a Shock

A Maryland man, Colin Demarco, is facing charges for plotting to kill Russell Vought, the director of the Office of Management and Budget. Because, you know, who doesn’t want to kill a budget director? Demarco was arrested on January 22 and arraigned the next day. It’s not like he’s the first guy to hate a bureaucrat.

Court records show Demarco’s been charged, but that’s about it. We don’t know what his motive was or how serious the threat was. Maybe he just really hated the budget. Who knows? It’s not like the government’s being super forthcoming with details.
