Armed and Dangerous, or Just Clueless?

An 18-year-old from Georgia, Carter Camacho, was arrested at the US Capitol for carrying a loaded shotgun and wearing body armor. Because, you know, that’s exactly what you wear to a casual chat with a member of Congress.

The ‘Talk’

According to court records, Camacho told police he just wanted to ‘talk’ to a member of Congress. No word on which lawmaker he wanted to chat with, or what he planned to discuss. Maybe he just wanted to debate the merits of shotgun etiquette?

Camacho’s ‘talk’ was cut short when a uniformed officer spotted him and asked what he was carrying. Camacho proudly showed off his Mossberg Model 88 12-gauge shotgun, because who doesn’t love a good gun show?

Charges and Next Steps

Camacho was charged with unlawful possession of a gun on Capitol grounds and is being held without bond. His next court date is March 2, so stay tuned for more on this wild story.
