Deflecting Blame

Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-Texas) is defending his spotty voting record by pointing fingers at others. On Thursday, he brought up Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) and Vice President Vance’s past absences when Vance represented Ohio. Hunt got grilled about his own voting record on Fox News’ ‘The Will Cain Show’.

A Weak Defense

Host Will Cain called out Hunt, and Hunt’s response was pretty weak. He won’t take responsibility for his own actions, instead trying to shift the focus to someone else’s mistakes. It’s a classic move, but it won’t fool anyone. Hunt’s excuse is ridiculous, and he knows it.

It’s time for Hunt to own up to his mistakes and stop making lame excuses. His constituents deserve better than a representative who can’t even be bothered to show up and vote.
