Illegally Here, Deadly Consequences
CrimeHigh-Speed Chase Ends in Tragedy
A pregnant 17-year-old girl and her unborn child are dead after a high-speed chase in Ohio. The driver, Tarsem Singh, an Indian national who’s in the US illegally, is behind bars on a $1 million bond.
A Deadly Pursuit
It all started when a Darke County Sheriff’s Office deputy spotted Singh’s SUV speeding down the road. The deputy tried to pull him over, but Singh took off, reaching speeds of 124 mph before crashing into another vehicle.
Ashlee Holmes, the pregnant teenager, was ejected from the vehicle and killed. The driver of the other car was injured but survived.
A Long History of Trouble
Singh has been in the US illegally since 2017. He was arrested back then but released on bond by a judge. Now, he’s facing vehicular homicide and reckless homicide charges.
The Department of Homeland Security is fed up with the situation, saying it’s a ‘tragic reminder’ of why illegal aliens shouldn’t be driving on American roads.
It’s a ridiculous situation that’s ended in tragedy. A young girl and her unborn child are dead, all because someone who shouldn’t have been here in the first place decided to lead cops on a wild goose chase.
