Strict New Law Raises Eyebrows

Kansas just passed a law that’s got everyone talking – and not in a good way. As of now, trans drivers are being forced to hand over their licenses. Yes, you read that right. It’s a move that’s being seen as a blatant attack on the trans community.

But that’s not all – the law also includes a provision that allows Kansans to sue if they’re ‘aggrieved’ by someone of the opposite sex using a public restroom. Because, you know, that’s exactly what the state needs – more lawsuits over who’s using which bathroom. It’s ridiculous, and it’s a clear attempt to discriminate against trans people.

It’s not like Kansas hasn’t been down this road before. The state’s got a history of passing laws that are, shall we say, less than progressive. But this one takes the cake. Or rather, it takes the license – and the dignity – away from trans people.
