Endorsement Season Heats Up

South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster is backing Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette to take his seat when he leaves office at the end of the year. It’s no surprise, given their partnership has been pretty successful – they’ve created new jobs and delivered the largest tax cut in state history.

A Record-Breaking Team

McMaster and Evette have worked together to break records, and he’s clearly happy with the results. They’ve won at the Supreme Court, and McMaster won’t hesitate to remind you of it. It’s a pretty standard endorsement, but it’s clear McMaster thinks Evette is the right person for the job.

Evette’s got her work cut out for her if she wants to keep up McMaster’s record, but with his endorsement, she’s off to a strong start. Don’t expect any drastic changes if she takes office – she’s been working alongside McMaster for years, so it’s likely to be more of the same.
