Nurse Fired For Advocating Violence Against ICE Agents
CrimeNurse’s Shocking Videos
A Virginia nurse, Malinda Cook, has been fired from her job at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Health after posting videos on TikTok that encouraged people to harm ICE agents. The videos, which have since gone viral, show Cook suggesting that medical providers fill syringes with saline or succinylcholine and use them as a ‘deterrent’ against opponents.
Lawmakers Weigh In
Two Virginia lawmakers, State Sen. Glen Sturtevant and Delegate Wren Williams, are calling for Cook to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. ‘She was calling for poisoning federal law enforcement for political reasons, for just doing their job, which we can’t abide by,’ Sturtevant said. Williams added that Cook ‘needs to be made an example’ and should lose her medical license.
VCU Health announced Cook’s termination on Tuesday, saying that it had completed a swift investigation and fulfilled its reporting requirements under Virginia state law. The hospital’s police department is also investigating the posts.
A Disturbing Trend
Williams pointed out that this isn’t an isolated incident, and that Democrats have been encouraging violent rhetoric for some time. ‘They justify it and say that’s the type of action needed to make change,’ he said. It’s a ridiculous and disturbing trend that’s putting lives at risk.
