Broken Medals and Broken Dreams

This year’s Olympic medals are making headlines for all the wrong reasons. It turns out they’re not as sturdy as the athletes who won them – several have reported their medals detaching from their ribbons, getting dented, and in one case, breaking in half. Nice job, Olympics organizing committee. You’d think they’d get the medals right, but nope.

The Fix

In response to the backlash, the committee is re-checking all the medals. Because, you know, it’s not like they should’ve done that before handing them out to the best athletes in the world.
