Retired Air Force General Vanishes into Thin Air
CrimeAir Force General’s Bizarre Disappearance
William ‘Neil’ McCasland, a 68-year-old retired U.S. Air Force general, has been missing for almost two weeks, and his wife is getting frustrated with the lack of progress in the search effort. McCasland was last seen at his residence in Albuquerque on February 27, and despite dozens of searchers, drones, and helicopters, there’s no sign of him.
A Connection to Tom DeLonge?
It turns out McCasland had a connection to Blink-182 frontman Tom DeLonge, working as an unpaid consultant on UFO-related projects. But his wife doesn’t think this is a reason for his disappearance, saying he had no ‘special knowledge’ about extraterrestrials. She’s even joked that maybe aliens ‘beamed him up to the mothership’ – but no sightings have been reported.
McCasland’s wife has made it clear that his military record, including his time as commander of the Air Force Research Laboratory, isn’t a likely reason for his disappearance. She’s urging anyone with information to come forward, even if they think it’s insignificant. The sheriff’s office is asking people to report any information they might have, and they’re also reminding hikers to be safe and prepared when venturing out.
