Here's How Long A Kia EV6 Battery Will Last
While Kia’s EV6 series has come in various models with varying specs, one common concern is the cost of a battery replacement, which can be up to $20,000.
With the fear of paying a hefty price tag down the road, some have wondered how long the Kia EV6 batteries last and how much it will cost to replace them.
Kia owners are protected by a great warranty program that covers the powertrains of all new vehicles for 10 years or 100,000 miles, including the EV6’s 697V lithium-ion batteries.
Rather than waiting to find out the price of a replacement down the road, one Kia EV Forum user called their local dealership and discovered new batteries would cost $29,000.
Although the owner was initially told it would be $6,000 when they first purchased the vehicle, they speculated the price hike was due to “the supply and the demand” for batteries.
